Australia is characterised by a melting pot of cultures, and each individual contributes to our rich tapestry. Muffin Break is proud to have employees and even franchisees hailing from all four corners of the globe, including Lillian Liao, the owner of two of our franchise stores in Bendigo, and a woman who originally comes from Shanghai.
As a child, Lillian visited Australia and dreamed of someday making this wonderful country her home. With stacks of ambition and an entrepreneurial spirit instilled into her by her business-minded family, she made this dream her reality. At first, she ran her own cleaning business in Melbourne. But soon, Lillian’s goals shifted, and she wanted to go into business in the food and hospitality industry.
Lillian admired the Muffin Break brand, so when an opportunity in the right area and at the right price came up, she decided to take the plunge and buy it. Lillian loved the fact that Muffin Break is an established franchise, and knew her purchase would be the right decision for her, because of all the training and ongoing support and assistance. That was eight years ago, and since then, she’s bought a second franchise business from Jamaica Blue, another member of our franchise family.
Lillian finds her work enjoyable and satisfying, yet she acknowledges the hard work and passion required, alongside the challenges it brings. Thanks to a lot of effort and endurance, she says that it’s been a rewarding investment that gets easier over time.
If you’re looking to be just like Lillian, she says you just have to be determined, believe in yourself and your decisions, and do plenty of research. You’ll have to work long hours and have a positive attitude, but if you’re anything like this wonderful woman, you’ll never look back.
The opportunities inherent in owning a Muffin Break store go beyond anything you might imagine. We have a number of Muffin Break opportunities currently available across Australia. We would love to welcome you to our family, so enquire today!
