Innovative Activations For Shopping Centre Customers

In the past 12 months, Muffin Break has offered new workshops for kids, extending beyond their traditional cookie workshop offering. These innovative activations include:

  • Ooshies workshops with the launch of the new toy offering for Muffin Break’s Mighty Mini Meal for kids.
  • Dinosaur hunts in the shopping centres.
  • Little Growers activity to teach kids the importance of recycling and sustainability.

SUPERHERO FUN

July 2018 saw the launch of the partnership with Ooshies to offer a blind bag toy in every kid’s meal. To celebrate this partnership in time for the school holidays, Muffin Break stores around the country dressed up in Superhero themed clothing to create excitement for the kids. They even encouraged the kids to dress up when they came in for the Superhero cookie workshops and they had a ball of fun! Centre managers saw these workshops fill out with hundreds of children throughout the holidays and offered their support on the days of the events to continue the momentum and excitement for the children. It was a great activation for parents to occupy their children during the school holiday period. Here’s a video to just display the success of one the events in Muffin Break Lakelands, WA:

JURASSIC WORLD LEAVES ITS FOOTPRINT BEHIND IN MUFFIN BREAK

Along with the launch of the Jurassic World DVD, Muffin Break partnered with Universal Pictures to create exclusive toys for Muffin Break for the September school holidays.

Meet the new characters that joined the Muffin Break gang

This partnership offered Muffin Break an opportunity to present a new activity to the shopping centres to create even more excitement during the school holidays that kids would love. It was an activity that the kids needed to travel around the centre to uncover 15 hiding dinosaurs and then return to the Muffin Break store to claim their discounted or free Mighty Mini Meal. Again, a really different offering for the centre to their customers with children that was fun and unique to any other activities on offer. Hundreds of children participated for this September activation.

ENCOURAGING LITTLE GROWERS

Muffin Break piloted a new idea for a workshop – Little Growers! This activation was driven together with the centre manager’s whose focus for their school holiday program was learning and creating. This was a perfect opportunity to teach kids the importance of recycling and sustainability! After running this activation over three days, with almost all sessions completely booked, there were a total of 140 happy little growers. Following the workshops, the feedback was fantastic – many parents/guardians expressing they loved how many of the items were reused, how they felt it was a wonderful and different way to learn about growing plants and how some weren’t previously Muffin Break customers, however, will be returning following such a positive experience. It is a workshop that Muffin Break will be running across the nation next school holidays, in conjunction with the shopping centres to see many more little growers learning about a more sustainable future.
