Muffin Break Opens in Alice Springs

After trading for almost 30 years, this family owned franchise will be truly in the heart of Australia – Alice Springs! And to formalise the opening in the Yeperenye Shopping Centre, Mayor Damien was in store to perform the ribbon cutting. We are so excited to have a store open in the heart of Australia, owned and operated by a local!

We will be connecting to even more Aussies around the country, creating a greater sense of community, shared over the perfect pair of a muffin and coffee.

Muffin Break’s Sense of Community
Muffin Break, an Australia iconic brand, is proud to support other local businesses, giving back to the community who has supported them. From partnering Share the Dignity, an Australian charity who helps women in need across the country to Aussie wheat farmers to source flour for their wholesome muffins.

Even more recently, Muffin Break is working with a local botanical illustrator to create gorgeous illustrations in store to represent the handmade baking process and packaging to offer more goodness into every customer’s day. As well as, joined Simply Cups – Australia’s first dedicated coffee cup recycling program – in an exciting campaign to try and take the 11 million coffee cups that Muffin Break use, out of landfill. For every takeaway coffee or hot drink sold by Muffin Break, we’ll pay to have a cup recycled by Simply Cups, who work with innovators to recycle and upcycle takeaway cups into new products.

We competed in 12th Annual Pentair Everpure Golden Bean Coffee Roasters Competition and we were awarded a medal in four categories! This event is recognised as the world’s largest coffee roasters competition and this year there was a record number of entries.

Earlier this year, Muffin Break won the Roy Morgan 2017 Coffee Shop of the Year award for the second year running! This award recognises the reliable and exceptional service Muffin Break franchisees provide. It’s a huge win for the brand and for the highly trained team at Alice Springs.
